The app
SoundCraft is made by the ArtCraft team and contributors and published at github.com/storytold/soundcraft. It is dual-licensed under the MIT License or the Apache License 2.0, at your option. Copyright © 2026 ArtCraft Team and the SoundCraft contributors.
This site serves the web build from each GitHub release without modification. The current build is v0.5.0; its zip matched the release’s published SHA-256 checksum (88f940be9080162963a3a4dccf348a0333244f88f8784d0fb10418ac8eb3b69d). Every file is served byte for byte as it is in that zip. The only things left out are the sample header files for other web servers (_headers, .htaccess).
The app’s WebAssembly file (11.8 MB) is stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage and streamed from there, with the same bytes and the same name, as on every Craft app site we run. The app’s own page preloads it with a Subresource Integrity hash, which you can compare with the file.
The licence texts and notices ship with the build: LICENSE-MIT, LICENSE-APACHE, NOTICE and ATTRIBUTION.md. SoundCraft bundles no third-party samples or artwork: its icons are drawn in code, and the demo song is synthesised by the app itself. The interface uses the default fonts that ship inside the egui library (Ubuntu-Light under the Ubuntu Font Licence, Hack under MIT, Noto Emoji and the emoji icon font under the SIL Open Font License).

What we add
- The page around the app: a top bar to switch between the demo song and an empty session, and links to help.
- An AI mixing assistant that runs in your browser on your own API key and knows SoundCraft’s menus, shortcuts and plugins.
- These guides.
Screenshots
The product screenshots on this site come from the SoundCraft repository (docs/images/, MIT OR Apache-2.0). They show the desktop app playing the built-in demo song, “Midnight Groove”: edit.webp, mix.webp, midi.webp, automation.webp, surround.webp, score.webp and video.webp, resized to 1600 × 1000.
Report a problem
Bugs in the app itself belong in the SoundCraft issue tracker, which the SoundCraft developers read. Please mention there that you used the web build. Problems with this site or the AI assistant: contact@soundcraft.run.
